Anne Marr has studied Textile Design at the University of the Arts Hamburg (HfbK) and at Chelsea College of Art & Design. She also gained a Postgraduate Textile Diploma at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
After working for the German fashion brand Tom Tailor she moved to London in 1995 and went on to become a full-time print designer at Beckford Interiors, developing contemporary fabric and soft furnishing collections.
Looking for a new challenge she became an art director at the leading London trend agency Kjaer Global in 1999, where she spent five years working with international brands from the interior, shoe, textile, electronics, automotive and fashion sector.
With her special insights into design trends, Anne Marr set up her own design studio in 2003
and now specialises in customised design concepts for trend forecasting, prints and interiors.
In 2004 she was appointed a professor at the HfbK Hamburg, where she was teaching on the Textile and Product Design Course. Since April 2008 she is the Course Director at the BA (Honours) Textile Design Course at Central Saint Martins College, University of the Arts London.
